Blast From The Past: Christy Turlington Returns To Calvin Klein For The New Campaign

Think Calvin Klein, think those iconic black and white shots starring some of our favourite models - and one said supermodel is set to return to the fashion house, Ms Christy Turlington.

News has just landed from CK HQ in New York that the superdupermodel will star in the women’s Autumn Winter 2013 campaign for Calvin Klein Underwear. Welcome back, CT!
Although Christy's a campaign veteran, this is the first time she's been shot for CK by fashion photographer Mario Sorrenti. The shoot took place on location in Vieques, Puerto Rico and is inspired by the brand’s signature intimate and provocative advertising.
So yes, folks, expect more sensual and saucy images featuring Christy's lithe limbs showcasing the must-have undies and get ready for a blast from the past because the campaign is set to highlight an assortment of the most iconic, must-have Calvin Klein Underwear essentials that have made the brand so beloved.
Rewind a whooping twenty-six years when Christy first hit the Calvin Klein catwalk for the Autumn Winter show in 1987. The next year, in 1988, Irving Penn photographed the model for her first ever Calvin Klein Collection advertising campaign before she became the face of Calvin Klein’s timeless scent, Eternity, captured by Bruce Weber.
In fact, she struck a pose for an array of legendary photographers from Steven Meisel and Mario Testino to Peter Lindbergh and Jurgen Teller for many campaigns including (deep breath) the Calvin Klein Collection, Calvin Klein Underwear, Calvin Klein Jeans, and Calvin Klein Swimwear brands, Contradiction fragrance, as well as three additional Eternity fragrance campaigns.
