J.Crew to pop up in London's King's Cross

is about to answer the fashion prayers of those who have fallen in love with its eclectic yet chic offerings on trips across the pond with a flagship London boutique scheduled for November - but there's a brief treat in store between now and then.

The women's, men's and children's outfitter loved by the First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama, is planning to pop-up for two days in the Western Transit Shed, located at King's Cross Central.

From May 24 to 25 only, the concept store will showcase the brand's summer collection (available to pre-order) and provide a preview of the autumn range, while offering a selection of Italian cashmere pieces which will be shopable alongside one-of-a-kind hand jewelled collars. In addition to the Cashmere Shop, J.Crew will be offering a monogramming service.

But that's not all. With the highly regarded Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design just a stone's throw away, the retailer is to launch a special design project and scholarship programme with the college's MA Fashion students.

J.Crew president and executive creative director Jenna Lyons said she was "thrilled" to be collaborating with the college, which relocated from Charing Cross Road in central London to its current site 18 months ago.

Lyons added how: "Design students are the lifeblood of our industry. Their creativity and enthusiasm is a constant inspiration for all of us at J.Crew. We are looking forward to introducing ourselves to Londoners this May."

The J.Crew Concept Store will be at Western Transit Shed, 4 Stable Street (off Goods Way), King's Cross, N1C 4AB. Open from 10am - 8pm on Friday, May 24 and 10am - 7pm on Saturday, May 25.
