Saint Laurent Goes Back to the Basics with Its "Permanent" Collection

Last year, Yves Saint Laurent underwent quite a few changes—first hiring Hedi Slimane as the label's creative director and then adapting its name to Saint Laurent. In January, it introduced a collection based around the idea of wardrobe stability, and it was just announced that those pieces will be now available year round. In the line, appropriately dubbed the Permanent collection, you'll find clothes and accessories that will be offered season after season for their timelessness. The staples include the perfect motorcycle jacket ($4,990), skinny jeans ($490), black pumps ($645–$745), ladylike carryalls ($2,150–$2,950), bracelets with pave diamonds ($6,500), and more.

We have a first look at some of these pieces, above, and you can also see how model Freja Beha Erichsen wears the must-haves in the latest campaign below. Shop the goods in all U.S. Saint Laurent boutiques and online at ysl.com.
